Holiday post number 9- Holiday party

I know Christmas has passed, but we still have a few outfits to go. Here, I wore a grass-green mock-neck dress with gold-button-adorned puff sleeves. I had been excited to pull this out for my office Holiday party. With the dress, I wore black tights and knee-high boots (kept it simple). For jewelry, I wore the reindeer necklace, chandelier earrings, and reindeer ring that I've been wearing all season--and the gold matched the buttons on the dress. I also wore green rose studs. For makeup, I wore gold and black shadows with green gel liner and red lipstick; for hair: a bow up-do.

I love this asymmetrical Scottie plaid sleeveless top- it's adorned with black antique lace at the chest and ties at the waist. With it, I wore black ponte pants and black ankle boots and a black blazer. For earrings, I wore black crocheted dangle earrings to go with the lace, andd red rose studs. For makeup: red lipstick and gloss and black shadow.

Holiday post number 7- Do I look like an elf?

It's tough to wear green AND red in one outfit sometimes, so one doesn't look like an elf. Here, I think I was able to pull it off with this burgundy ruffle cutout sweater, with a green 3/4 tee underneath. My floral scarf includes, both, green and burgundy, so it pulls the colors together. To match, I wore green and black rose stud earrings and a black rose bracelet, along with a cream bangle to match the lace on the scarf. I also wore a cream rose ring. For shoes, I wore burgundy knee-high boot and, for makeup, green and burgundy shadow and burgundy lipgloss.

Holiday post number 6- Five golden rings

There have been three staples for me this Holiday season: a bow up-do, gold/shimmer, and reindeer jewelry.

I think this is the third Holiday outfit I posted with gold in it, the bow hair and the multi-metal, multi-strand reindeer necklace and chandelier earrings to match. This time, however, I didn't wear the reindeer ring, but I did add some stackable gold rings. For makeup, I did still wear a bright lipstick and gold and black shadows. As for clothing- I wore a cream and gold shimmer, bell sleeve mock neck with a black pencil skirt, tights and ankle boots.

For jewelry, I went with the pink tone and wore pin acrylic earrings and a pink flower ring (to go with the pattern). For makeup: navy and burgundy shadows, navy liner and a burgundy lip gloss.

Holiday post number 2- it's REIN-deer-ing sparklies

For me, Holiday colors also include sparkly- gold, silver, etc. Here, I wore a cream argyle cardigan, with different color grey patches, gold lines, and sparkly buttons. This top was so much fun to match with! I wore a multi-metal, multi-strand necklace adorned with charms including a reindeer. For earrings, I wore sparkly studs to match the buttons and multi-strand, multi-metal chandelier earrings. I also wore a (badass) reindeer ring. (You will see all of these accessories again throughout the Holiday posts.) For hair, I wore my hair in a bow and added gold and silver headbands and a sparkly, multi-metal headwrap.

With the cardigan, I wore a charcoal pencil skirt, grey tights and a grey boots.

For makeup: gold and charcoal shadows with a red lipstick.

Finally! We made it to Holiday colors!

Last Monday, I was (very) eager to wear this outfit- I had been saving it for the first workday in December. Here, I wore red, black and purple plaid skinny pants with a purple mock-neck. To avoid buying purple shoes I won't wear that much, I wore black ankle boots and added a black belt. For jewelry, I wore red rose and purple chandelier earrings and a gold and purple cocktail ring. For makeup: red lipstick and purple shadow. There is one thing with this outfit that bothers me, though and that is the silver buckle on my belt since I was wearing gold jewelry.

Earrings: Purple: given to me from Godmother; Red roses: eBay

Riding a horse on Thanksgiving?

Below is what I wore for Thanksgiving: black ponte pants, a brown long-sleeved tee, a cream duster, and brown hounstooth boots. Instead of Thanksgiving dinner, I look like I went horse-back riding.  Anyway, for accessories, I wore a cream scarf twisted in with a brown scarf, an orange antique owl necklace, and silver dangly earrings. The owl necklace matches the orange in my houndstooth boots and I only wore silver earrings to go with the necklace. For makeup: brown shadow and spice lipstick.

Duster: hand-me-down from Godmother
Tee: Target
Pants; Wright's Chicken Farm gift shop, $19
Boots: Easy Spirit, years ago, $11
Earrings: given to me from Aunt

Thanksgiving Spirit

Clearly, I love ruffles and can't say no to a good price. Here, I was in the Thanksgiving spirit at work and wore a burnt orange ruffle-sleeve sweater, matching beaded hoop earrings, an oversized cocktail ring, along with a bird brooch. For shoes, I wore fur-lined brown, black, cream, and burnt orange houndstooth boots. Most might say to never wear brown and black together, but I think if you have the right accessories (hence, the shoes), it's fine. So, eventhough most of the boots are brown, there really is black in them. For makeup: a burnt orange shadow with brown eyeliner and an autumn-colored lipstick.

I had a lot of fun with this outfit and almos can't wait until after the Holidays to wear this sweater again! It may be my new marigold!

Sweater: Rainbow Shops, $15
Earrings and ring: warehouse sale, $5/$2
Brooch: Secret Snowflake gift last year
Boots: purchased at a shoe store about 7 years ago, Easy Spirit (!!!), $11
Makeup: shadow: Tarte, gift, all other: Ulta
