The Blues...day two

It's Day Two of Navy Blue! Today, I wore a plain navy turtle neck that zips up the back of the neck (the reason I wore my hair up). I matched navy blue tights with my turtle neck and then wore a solid camel pencil skirt, camel boots, a matching head wrap and, lastly, camel chandelier earrings. The earrings are antique gold, which matches both the zipper on my top the hardware on my boots. Simple outfit, but I did like the way it came out.

For makeup, I wore camel and navy shadows with navy gel liner.

Tights: given to me from Godmother (she just handed me a whole bag of fleece-lined leggings and
tights that I will certainly get some wear out of!)
Boots: Alloy?; $15?

The Blues...day one

I've decided....it's going to be a navy blue week! Today, I wore this argyle sweater (since I haven't worn it yet this winter) with navy dress pants. This sweater, while very preppy for me, is fun to match with. I purchased the sweater and necklace together because I thought they matched well and because I love different shades of blue together. To go with the necklace, I wore wavy silver hoops-- the necklace has wavy silver circles on it. For additional jewelry, I wore periwinkle and teal rings, which both match the sweater and necklace pretty well. To go with the grey in the sweater, I wore a grey head wrap and grey wedge ankle boots. For makeup, I wore periwinkle, navy and teal eye shadows with grey gel liner.

Sweater & Necklace: Van Heusen outlet store, NH, years ago, cost: ?
Pants: Kohl's, $20
Earrings: given to me from Aunt
Shoes: Old Navy, have had for a while
Makeup: Teal: Tarte; Periwinkle: NYC; Navy: Avon; Liner: Ulta

Florals

Just before the Holidays, I had scored this set of bangles and stackable rings. And, since I hadn't worn this shirt in a while and because it's fun to match with, I went for it. I wore the top with navy straight leg pants and charcoal ankle boots. In addition to the antique rose jewelry, I also added a matching scarf and pink rose earrings. I like how the floral rings and rose earrings go with the floral pattern of the shirt. Thankfully, the gold-toned jewelry matched the buckles on my boots...
For makeup, I wore navy and pink eye shadows with charcoal eyeliner and pink lip crayon (although, I was tossed up between pink and burgundy, which is also another color in the top).

Top: Christmas gift 2015, Vera Wang for Kohl's
Scarf: Rue 21, clearance, $5
Bracelets: Rue 21?, clearance, $2
Rings: Charlotte Russe?, clearance, $2
Earrings: have had, eBay
Pants: Kohl's, $20

Mismatched patterns give me anxiety

I hadn't worn this comfy sweater yet this season, so pulled it out on a cold day. To match it, I wore this off-white feather printed scarf. For jewelry, I wore these cream oversized earrings I picked up before Christmas at a warehouse sale. To keep with the off-white theme, I added similarly colored bangles and rings. I'm not crazy about wearing the rose ring a floral patterned earrings with the feather print scarf, but at least they match in color. For makeup, I wore magenta, cream and black shadows and dark rose lip crayon.

Sweater: $5, store in AZ
Earrings: $2, warehouse sale
Bracelets: Christmas gift a few years ago
Rings: $2, clearance, Rue 21 or Charlotte Russe

Lederhosen??

This is an outfit I've been wanting you wear for a while because I thought it would be cute together and because I have all these (faux) suede accessories to match together. However, my husband says it looks like I'm wearing lederhosen.
What do you think? Yay or nay? Do I like like a German misfit or does it look cute? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Please comment!!

Matching everything possible II

Apparently, I thought it was okay to leave the house with everything and anything on that matched. At the time, I had been wanting to wear this (very comfie) pink dolman top. From there, I decided I really wanted to wear these beige boots and wondered to myself, "what can I wear to pull these two things together?" I then realized I could wear this multi-color scarf that has pink, beige and black in it, along with a camel pencil skirt and, then, black tights and tee (underneath the dolman top) to bring it all together. I twisted a black scarf in with the multi-color scarf because the outfit needed more black. I think I could have stopped there..... but, I guess I felt the need to wear a cream colored pin that went with the cream in some of my other jewelry.........I wore a set of pink multi-material bangles and, also, a set of pink stackable rings as well as pink and black rose stud earrings to go with the rose in the ring set and the pin. Both the bangles and stackable rings are gold, which goes with the accents on the boots. For makeup, I wore pink and black eye-shadows and pink lip-crayon.

Where to start......

Prep

I purchased this sweater and matching top a few years ago during a BOGO 50% off sale at NY&Co. I don't wear them too much since it's a little preppy for my style, but I do still think they're cute together. This time, I wore the sweater and top with navy dress pants and grey leather oxfords (I also am not a fan of wearing flats). In an effort to jazz up the outfit a little more, I wore  multi-strand chain and pearl necklace, but then ended up prepping the outfit even more with pearl stud earrings and pearl bracelets (to go with the necklace and the white in the top). For hair, I twisted my hair back and pinned it and gathered into a low pony, wrapping some strands around the hair tie. For makeup: light purple, silver and navy eyeshadows with navy gel eyeliner.

Sweater and top: NY&CO., BOGO 50% off sale
Pants: Kohl's, sale, $24.99

Necklace: Vera Wang, Christmas gift a few years ago
Earrings: eBay, purchased for wedding, $2?

Does this bow make me look Amish?

Quick post tonight. My husband asked where my Amish cap was to go with the bow. What do you think-- is it cute or do I look Amish?

Would you like another...black and tan?

I had been wanting to wear this sweater since it's both cozy and cute. With it, I wore a pencil skirt (surprise) and black boots. I hadn't worn this scarf in a while, so I added it even though the sweater is a cowl neck. The scarf is black and has tans and browns in it. To go with the scarf, I wore antique gold hoop earrings that are accented with multi color black and brown beads. The scarf, sweater and earrings were all given to me.

Sweater: White House/Black Market, given to me from Godmother
Scarf: gift from my mother
Earrings: given to me from Aunt

It speaks for itself

This was a sweater I wanted for a few years (for obvious reasons) and finally purchased. I wore the ruffly sweater with matching grey tights, a black pencil skirt and black boots. For jewelry, I wore a layered necklace/earring set-- I thought this would match nicely with the layered effect on the sweater. For makeup- charcoal eye-shadow.

Sweater: Venus.com, $29
Necklace/earring set: Vera Wang, Christmas gift a few years back
Boots: K-Mart, store closing sale, $11
Skirt: have had
Makeup: Ulta, free with min. purchase

Faux Feather, Faux Fur Funky Friday

Since I like to try more casual things on Fridays, this particular day, I wore a cream faux fur vest and dressed it up with a black asymmetrical skirt and matching beige heels with gold accents. To go with the vest, I wore a feather print, cream scarf. To go with the feather print and, also, the gold on the shoes, I wore a black feather gold bracelet and black feather gold hoop earrings. (The earrings and bracelet were purchased separately at different stores, but match as well as perfect.) For makeup, I wore fuchsia lip gloss and cream, black and magenta eye shadows.
