It's spooky month which means my Tim Burton handbag will make lots of appearances, particularly with stripes. Here, I'm wearing a black and white striped button down shirt dress with white and black old school Adidas. When in the office, I switched shoes to black and white stiletto booties. For jewelry: a black and white oversized beaded necklace and black and white chandelier earrings. Makeup: black and white liners, black shadow and red lipstick for a color pop. Hair: low, sleek pony with hair wrapped around hair tie.

I was having 'a day' on this particular morning and ended up changing from one outfit to another. I'm not sure I'm crazy about either of them but still plan to wear this pleather skirt again with something more sleek.

Rainy Daze

Whenever it rains, I'm wearing maroon to match my maroon rain boots. There are actually two outfits in these pics but I felt the first was too boring to post. You can see some of it with the necklace and cardigan photo below.  

On the second day of rain (not Christmas ;) ) this particular week (about a month ago), I wore teal and black plaid ponte pants with the maroon rain boots and, then, pulled the colors together with a teal tank and maroon high-low blouse. For jewelry, I added a teal, jeweled cuff bracelet and cocktail ring with a multi-strand necklace, adorned with teal accents. For earrings: these multi-color antique danglies that have both teal and maroon colors in them. I added a maroon wide-brim hat to protect my hair from the rain and while in the office, maroon chunky heel ankle boots. For makeup: maroon shadow and teal liner and a maroon lip gloss.

Rrrrruffles have ridges

Earlier in the fall, I wore this cream, asymmetrical ruffle spaghetti strap blouse with black, lightweight, tapered dress pants and a black blazer. Even though these blush ruffle flats are pretty beat up (wish I had more!), they were too perfect not to wear with this top. For jewelry, I wore cream rose studs and a cream rose ring (not a set). For makeup: cream and black shadows with red lipstick.

Each year on 9/11, I always wear some variation of red, white, and blue. This year, it was red tapered dress pants, a cobalt sleeveless blouse over a white tank with cobalt flats. For jewelry: a red, white and blue beaded (gold) chainmail necklace with red and gold tassel earrings and cobalt rose studs. For makeup: gold and navy shadows, blue liner and red lipstick.

Handkerchief

This casual black and white print, lace-back, asymmetrical dress was a hand-me-down with tags still on it. I wore it at the end of the summer to work, with leggings and black and white d'orsey chunk sandals and a matching black and white handbag. I added black and white rose studs earrings to go with the floral pattern. For makeup: black shadow, white and black liners, and red lipstick.

Sea Monster

I wore this outfit to work about a month ago-very much a summer outfit. This short-sleeve, open-shoulder, seagreen crocheted top was hand-made by my Aunt (!!). I wore it over a white fitted tee and beige drawstring pants. For jewelry: a teal, beige and white shell, rope and beaded necklace, seagreen stringed-arch earrings and white and aqua studs. On the drive, beige flats; in the office: white wedge sandals. For makeup: seagreen shadow, white and teal liners and a gold lipgloss. Hair: three small ponies with hair covering each elastic.

Straight no chaser

This was a few weeks ago at work. I wore a blush spaghetti strap, lace-adorned top with a black moto-jacket and black ponte pants and open-toe lacy ankle boots. For accessories, a black rose bracelet and pink bangle, black rose studs with crochet, sparkly dangle earrings (they match the lacy sparkly shoes really well). For makeup: blush and black shadows and blush lipstick. In my opinion, what makes this outfit is my straight hair. ❤️

Oh the possibilities

It may be because I'm a bird person, but I always think of hyacinth macaws when I wear cobalt blue and marigold together. Here, I wore a cobalt sleeveless blouse and cobalt, button-adorned pencil skirt with a marigold, multi-color, paisley kimono. This kimono has so many colors and patterns, that a lot can be coordinated with it- sometimes mint green, sometimes blush and sometimes I wear blue tassel earrings to match the blue tassels on the kimono. This time, I added marigold tassel earrings and marigold sandals along with cobalt rose studs. For makeup: marigold and cobalt eye shadows and a blush lipstick.

Waitress With An Attitude

We went to an outdoor concert on this night to see my favorite local band, so I wore yellow and green to go with reggae and ska music: a grass green, white striped, off-the-shoulder blouse; marigold, high waist, front-tie shorts and matching marigold; and green color-block, tropical patterned flat sandals. 

For accessories: marigold tassel earrings with green rose studs, a marigold handbag, and a black straw fedora. For makeup: marigold and black shadows and fuchsia lipstick.

In the Navy 🎖️🚢💙💛

This was a cooler day this summer and, because I don't have navy blue pants that fit, I improvised by wearing navy leggings underneath a navy pencil skirt. (Much more comfy than pants anyway.) The reason for the navy blue bottoms was wanting to wear this blue and marigold spaghetti strap, ruffle tank. I added a marigold cardigan and matching flats and handbag. 

Lots of accessories this time due to the multi-color floral pattern (periwinkle, marigold, cream and navy). I added a vintage marigold macrame belt and pinned a cream rose hair clip to it; marigold tassel earrings and cream rose studs; periwinkle flower necklace; periwinkle benefit bracelet and cream bangle; cream rose ring.  For makeup: navy and marigold shadows.

I had gotten this beige one-shoulder, eyelet ruffle top earlier this summer and wore it out to dinner a few weeks ago. With it, I wore tapered denim cargo capris and beige open-toed chunky heel sandals. I added gold-toned beige and black beaded earrings and, for makeup: tan and brown shadows and gold lipgloss.

The Crossover

Earlier this summer, I, both, scored a great deal on this grey crossover, belted dress AND wore it to work within one week. With it, I went casual with grey Hey Dudes and added a grey floral necklace with matching earrings and white rose studs. For makeup: silver and black shadows with white and black liners and a neutral lip gloss. For hair: a bubble pony. Handbag: grey, reversible canvas tote.

Bubble Tea

A couple weeks ago at work, I wore these casual olive green tie-up ankle pants with a blush asymmetrical blouse and matching ruffle flats. For jewelry: a long silver and olive necklace and matching earrings and pink rose studs. Makeup: pink and olive shadows and blush lipstick. For hair, I did a bubble pony.

Zip it up

This was earlier in the spring/summer when all we had was rain, hence ankle boots. But this outfit was planned around these black and white ponte pants, adorned with gold zipper pockets. I'll admit, these pants were too big so they won't get worn again even if they make me seem thinner. ;). With them, I wore a red sleeveless top and fuchsia blazer- love these colors together and way less boring than just matching black and white. The other inspiration behind this outfit was this gold zipper earring and necklace set, which I wore to match the pants. I added a black and white handbag with gold hardware to pull it all together. For makeup: black and gold shadows, white and black liners, and red lipstick.

Electric Avenue

I got this high-low, mock-neck, hot pink and white geometric-print top last spring or the previous fall maybe and just love it. Here I wore it with black ankle pants and matching hot pink sandals. For jewelry, I wore this gold tiered double-V shaped necklace and gold stick earrings with gold V-shape rings. The shapes in the jewelry go with the pattern on the top.

For both Holidays, I wore navy shadow with white and blue liners and red lipstick. One of my nieces was an inspo for the white liner- I didn't realize it was a thing again. So much, I had a really hard time finding some!

A Perfect Match

This is probably my most recent favorite outfit. I had bought this sleeveless, tie-dyed, open back blouse the weekend prior to wearing it. I had been eyeing it for a while and then got it for 20% off. But .. when I was pulling an outfit together with it, I remembered these tie-dyed stilleto pumps that.match.to.a.T!! I got these heels in the fall on clearance and hadn't worn them yet.

Okay, so I normally dislike wearing dark colors with pastels but it's what I had, so I wore black ankle pants and a black blazer. For jewelry, I wore an aqua beaded necklace and matching earrings with an aqua gemstone necklace and purple rose studs. For makeup: pastel yellow, purple and aqua shadows with blush lipstick.
