Too early for Valentine's Day?

I've been holding off on wearing pink since I was planning on pulling it out for Valentine's Day, but it's less than a month away anyway. Today, I wore this puff-shoulder blush blouse with ruffle blush flats and satin-belted high-waist black pants. For jewelry, I wore a cream and blush rose accent statement necklace that fits perfectly in with the deep v-neck on the blouse. I also wore stackable rings including a cream rose, a pink flower, and faux diamond and pearl accented- all which match the necklace perfectly- as well as cream and pink bangles. For earrings, I wore gold stick earrings to go with all of the gold accents. For makeup, I wore antique rose, cream and black shadows and a muted pink lip stick .

Painted Black

I'm working another event, so black and white it is! This is my first time wearing this dress, however, so it makes my night less awful. I think this will look cute with black and white heels and, also, in the summer.

Since the sleeves have ruffles, I wore wavy hoop earrings. I also wore a black and white beaded necklace with silver accents, to match the silver earrings, and  black eyeshadow.

Dress: NY&Co., 50% off sale, $29
Earrings: given to me from Aunt
Necklace: given to me from Godmother

Sugar plum

This skirt was on the top of the clean clothes laundry basket and it was late last night when I picked out my clothes, so I decided to wear it today and match it with this wrap. A couple years ago, when I got this wrap (for a borthday gift), I had been looking for a matching skirt and finally gave up. Well, this Christmas, my fairy Godmother gave me one! Though it's not the outfit I would like to wear (heels), I was still able to match some peach flats and wore black tights and a black top to bring them together. (Now, I need purple tights!) I wore minimal jewelry since this skirt has a silver zipper and most of the jewelry I would wear with these colors have gold tones. Today, I wore just peach rose studs. For makeup: antique rose and deep purple shadows and a muted antique rose lipstick.

Skirt: Christmas gift, from Godmother
Flats: Family Dollar, $8
Wrap: H&M, Birthday gift two year ago, from Godmother
Earrings: Rue 21, set of 3 or 6 pairs, clearance
Makeup: Lipstick and antique rose shadow: Ulta; Purple shadow: Secret Snowflake a few years ago

RRRuffles have RRRidges

Again, it was going to be a cold one, so I wanted to wear this cozy ruffle sweater. I almost wore it with a skirt, but I was out of fleece-lined tights, so pants, it was... with peach ruffle flats to go. To incorporate more peach, I wore a necklace with some tones and peach rose earrings. To also go with the wing charm and faux crystal in the necklace, I wore long strand earrings with (faux) crystals and a bauble bracelet as well as a wing heart Luca & Danni bracelet. Additionally, I wore a dark metal ruffle ring to go with the ruffles in the sweater and shoes. For makeup, I will silver and peach shadows and peach loop gloss.

Oldie, but goodie

I've had this faux-fure-lined duster for-evvvvvvvvver. I've only purchased two items at Nordstrom ever, and this is one of them. It's ol' reliable and I can wear it with jeans, dress pants, with a skirt (shown below) or even as a sweater dress (with a belt). Since it was so cold yesterday, I decided to wear it with fleece-lined tights and a beige pencil skirt. I matched some dangly hand-me-down earrings, but kept the rest of my jewelry simple since the sweater itself is already a lot. And my makeup- tan and black shadows and gold lipgloss.

Sweater: Nordstrom, 15 years ago, $50 (one of the most worthwhile $50 I've ever spent)
Skirt: Bob's Stores?, have had for about 10 years maybe?, $9.99
Earrings: vintage 80s, given to me by my Aunt
Makeup: all Ulta

Gangster or Twenties?

Yesterday, I wanted to be sure to wear shoes where my feet wouldn't get wet (or cold), so I wore these black and white oxfords with a pair of matching black and white plaid pants... which makes me look like I'm either from the twenties or was in the mafia. Because I didn't feel like wearing just black and white, I added some color with a marigold turtleneck. For makeup, I wore marigold and black shadows and black and white earrings.

Turtleneck and pants: NY&Co., 50% off sale, $18/$25
Earrings: Kohl's, clearance, years ago, Vera Wang,  $4
Shoes: Kohl's, about 8 years ago, $24??

The "Katie"

Yesterday, it was forecasted to be a cold one, so I wore a poncho and fleece-lined tights. I could have opted for some color, but I guess I just felt like wearing all black (still very limited in what shoes I can wear, as well). When I had finished getting dressed, I realized that the ensemble looked like something my friend, Katie, would wear (see Is Christmas Really Over? :( ), in which she agreed when I sent her a photo.

Since my flats have silver buckles, I decided to keep with silver jewelry- hoops, a cuff, and a ring.

Poncho: NY&Co., last year, $15 doorbuster
Flats: Dr. Scholl's(!!), clearance, $9?
Jewelry: cuff and earrings: given to me from Aunt; ring: found
Makeup: all Ulta

California Raisins...I Heard it Through the Grapevine

Again, I wore this plum beret, but with lots of other purple, including a sweater and (new) pencil skirt. To match, I added a (new) necklace, a beaded cuff and beaded hoop earrings along with plum eye shadow. All jewelry, with the exception of the necklace, are silver-toned, which match the zipper on the skirt, shown below. It's one of my own personal faux-pas to wear two different colored metals in one outfit, but they bracelet and earrings matched the necklace so well, otherwise. What's most fun about coordinating this outfit is that all of the pieces were collected from different times and was virtually free!

Beret: NY&Co., 80% off sale, $8.99
Sweater: hand-me-down from Godmother
Skirt: Christmas gift
Necklace: Christmas gift
Bracelet: Christmas gift years ago
Earrings: hand-me-down from (another) Aunt

Black, blue and purple...like a bruise

This will be the last time for this top. As much as I've always liked it, sadly, it's a wee bit tight, thus, uncomfortbale. This time, I wore it to go with these beaded hoop earrings, which, in turn, match this cute beret. For makeup, I matched a deep purple lipstick and blue and plum eyeshadows.

Top: Kohl's, a few years ago, clearance, $8?
Earrings: a Christmas gift a couple years ago
Beret: NY&Co., 80% off, $8.99
Makeup: all Ulta

Is Christmas really over? :(

Better late than never- I think I'm just in denial that the Holidays are over...
Well, here are some of the Holiday outfits I squeezed in at the very end of the season. Remember- no heels with a recent surgery, so here I am in flats. (Just think of how much cuter these outfits would be with ankle boots!)

Also, be sure to scroll down for a special guest appearance of the 11 days of Katie-Christmas outfits!

Plaid assymetrical high-low top: NY&Co., 50% off sale, $30 (HAD to have!!!)
Worn with red and black rose earrings to go with the black lace, and for makeup: yellow and black shadows and red lipstick .

Red sateen cold-one-shoulder top: NY&Co., 50% off sale, $27
Reindeer ring and necklace: warehouse sale: $1, $5
Chandelier earrings: given to me

This one's a little spunky, but I HAD to wear my Christmas Vacation socks on Christmas, so I ended up looking like a school girl (not intended). I wore a matching (sheer) light blue button down, just like Clark W. Griswold- and, also, the Santa hat. I finished off with a red polka dot tie.
