St. Joseph's Day

A little behind in posts and, again, I don't celebrate St. Joseph's Day (except for the eating of many delicious zeppoles) and, in fact, don't really know what it is. Nonetheless, I wore red that day, but mixed with black and white for the school team who was in a tournament at the time. (My spirit  colors did not bring the team any luck.)

With a red cardigan, I wore a white and black plaid  button down, which was less boring than a plain white blouse - it's nice to mix it up. I wore my usual black pencil skirt, tights and black ankle boots. For jewelry: a gold and black plaid-patterned bow necklace along with gold stick earrings. For makeup: black shadow and red lipstick.

Cardigan: hand-me-down from Godmother
Button-down: Venus, approx. $ 15-20
Skiret: have had
Ankle boots: NY&Co., last year, $25?
Necklace: K-Mart, going out of business sale, $2?

You chose the accessories!

Thanks to those who assisted in picking out earrings and a bracelet to go with this necklace!

To brighten up this charcoal, ruffly sweater, I changed what I would typically pair with it by wearing a purple pencil skirt (it's officially Spring, after all). Next, I needed to bring the outfit together, and, that was done through accessories! That's when I chose this Betsy Johnson butterfly necklace, which bursts with color and matches the skirt. But, aside from a gun metal wavy ring, I couldn't choose which bracelet or earrings. The voters chose this silver multi-color beaded bracelet and 'dagger' earrings, also in gun metal. For makeup, I wore charcoal shadow and purple eyeliner with fucsia lipstick. I will charcoal tights since the outfit looked uneven with black ones.

Bracelet: birthday gift years ago
Earrings: Burlington Coat Factory, 3prs/$3.99

Final St. Patty's Colors- Day 6

I had a few more outfits to go, but I didn't feel like wearing green anymore- it was hard for me since my obsessiveness needed to finish off the color, but I was able to move on. Here are the final outfits, which bled into Monday of this week- I swapped right to red for St. Joseph's Day, which I don't normally honor.

Can you guess what MY favorite outfit is below??

St. Patty's Colors- Day 5

Yesterday, I wore a forest green button-down blouse. Instead of the jewelry I  originally picked out, I decided on this matching set that is antique gold with a green and navy blue abstract photo. Using the necklace and earrings as a muse, I wore navy pants and navy (faux) velvet ankle boots and a dark blue tank under the blouse. Also for jewelry, I wore a  light green leather cuff with an antique gold wishbone charm. (Very fitting for St. Patty's Day!) For makeup, dark green shadow with navy liner and gold lip gloss.

St. Patty's Colors- Day 4

Yesterday, I wore an emerald green tank underneath a black cardigan and black ankle pants with ankle boots. For jewlery, I surprised myself and chose a necklace that I had selected for another outfit- gold with green, black and cream beads. For earrings, I wore gold stick earrings and green rose studs. For makeup: teal green shadow and gold lip gloss. I also, HAD TO, add a gold 'lucky charm' necklace (wishbone and four-leaf clover).

St. Patty's Colors- Day 3

Yesterday, I wore a (darker) olive green sweater dress as a tunic with ponte pants. The buttons on the sleeves are antique gold, so I kept with the same color scheme for jewelry. Just like On to St. Patty's Day, I wore antique gold, dangly, beaded earrings and an antique gold and olive lace ring. For shoes, perforated ankle boots, with gold zippers. I wore olive eyeshadow.

St. Patty's Colors- Day 2

Yesterday, I opted for a lighter shade of green when I wore this jade, striped sweater dress. With it, I wore thigh-high boots and, for accessories, a long multi-tone necklace with gem details. To match, I wore a leather wrap bracelet with similar jewels and jewel earrings - all pieces of jewelry that were purchased/gifted at different times, but seem to match well together. For makeup: jade eyeshadow and a bright lipstick.

Sweater dress: Target, many moons ago, clearance, $17?
Boots: ??, $25
Necklace and earrings: both Christmas gifts from different people, years apart
Bracelet: Rosegal, $3
Makeup: Shadow: Tarte (gift); Lipstick: The Body Shop

On to St. Patty's Day

Right from Valentine's Day colors to St. Patty's colors! Admittedly, I just realized I have way more green than I care to wear for two weeks, so I may cut out some shades of green so I can still try to squeeze in some winter outfits before the spring is here.

I started the week off with olive green. Yesterday, we went to our favorite dive bar hangout, so I kept it casual with this olive green tank, decorated with beige lace stamping, and jeans. For jewelry, I wore a frilly olive green ring and chandelier earrings with olive, mustard and purple beading. (The design on the earrings also match the lace stamping.) I threw on black boots with buckles that match the gold tones in the jewelry and a black, lace-back cardigan. For makeup- olive eyeshadow.
