Minty fresh

I had to have this mint green top and earrings and ring to match, all ordered from Charming Charlie's on clearance. When I went to put the outfit together, I was super excited when I realized I had a perfectly matching belt, which is even made from a similar material. I wore mint green and black eyeshadows.

Blue Suede Shoes...errr patent shoes

I should really start with this skirt I recently picked up at H&M. I was looking in my closet for items that would match it. I picked out this floral shirt, which is a lot of fun to match with. So, I then decided to wear these new blue heels and happened to have a matching blue patent belt! I wore earrings that were given to me with the top (both Christmas gifts) and grey and blue eyeshadows and maroon lipgloss.

Inspired

On a recent shopping trip, the color mustard yellow, inspired me. I picked up a shirt in one store knowing I had earrings back at home that matched perfectly. But, I put the shirt back down, and at another store a little later, I saw another mustard yellow shirt and couldn't resist.

Earrings: Christmas or birthday gift years ago from a friend
Makeup: Eyeshadow: Tarte, birthday gift from the same friend; Lip Gloss: Ulta

"Gladiator" Earrings

My husband said these earrings remind him of gladiator helmets- I always saw them as steam-punk. Nonetheless, they're fun to match with, particularly when one has a microsuede maroon skirt and maroon shoes! I also wore a gold-toned maroon leave pin that goes nicely. I added grey to this outfit with a charcoal blazer and charcoal tights. I wore a black shirt underneath to break up the outfit, although white could have worked, as well. To bring the black together with the rest of the outfit, I wore a black head wrap. I matched my makeup with maroon lip gloss and charcoal eye shadow.

Pastel Overload

I've always had a hard time finding outfits to wear with this necklace, so I have to be creative when I want to wear it. This time, I wore a mint green cocoon cardigan to match the mint jewels in the necklace (it's mint and blue). Also, to go with the necklace, I wore an open-ended choker with matching accents, and oversized crystal stud earrings. Then, I wore two bracelets- one with blue gems and one mint green beaded bracelet- both to match the necklace and bring the colors together. I also decided to break out this brand new mint green makeup bag for kicks. Speaking of makeup, I wore mint green and blue eye shadows.

Necklace:  Kohl's, birthday gift years ago
Earrings: came with an earring set- Rue 21 maybe?
Open-ended choker: Frugal Fannie's, clearance, $7??
Bracelets: Blue charm: given to me from an Aunt; Green beaded 'Flintstone': have had
Sweater: Outlet mall in Dartmouth, $5

Match-alicious

I hadn't worn this shrug in a while, so I decided to pull it out. When I looked for what to wear with it, I was excited to realize these colorblock heels, which are cute on their own, were the perfect match! I kept the rest of the outfit simple by wearing all black-- one should never wear more than one animal print item at one time. I wore black oversized dot earrings to go with the spots on the shrug. To keep my outfit dressy, I twisted half of my hair back. Lastly, I wore camel and black eye-shadows and gold lipgloss to match the rest of the outfit.

Shrug: Rosegal, $5
Earrings: hand-me-downs from my mother
Shoes: Charlotte Russe, last year, $ 14 on sale?
Makeup: all Ulta, eye-shadows free with purchases

Tip: Wear ankle-length pants to show off cute shoes

Another favorite item...and again, mixed blue and peach

I love this shirt! (Has anyone noticed I like long shirts the most?) I wore this high-low top with black pants and a white tee underneath (to break up the black). I then accented the white tee with a white head wrap (it was a terribly rainy day out) and white knee socks. I added in some color with a favorite blue/teal/periwinkle statement necklace, which contrasts nicely with the peach. I wore a periwinkle and blue beaded ring that matches pretty well with the necklace. Since the necklace has silver wavy rings in it, I wore silver wavy hoop earrings and then boots with silver buckles. I finished off with peach and navy eye-shadow.

Top: Rosegal, $14
Necklace: Van Heusen Factory Outlet, NH, years ago
Earrings: given to me from an Aunt
Ring: Cumberland Fair at a craft stand
Eye-shadows: Peach: Ulta; Navy: Avon

Getting Ready for Spring

I like peach and navy together and am always looking for ways to incorporate this necklace into outfits. I wore this sheer, ruffly top (with ruffly heels) and a navy blue blazer so I could wear this necklace. I wore white accents to bring the necklace together with the outfit- a white head wrap, white rose brooch and some white in my peach rose earring (which also have gold tones that match the necklace). I think this outfit came together nicely!

Lastly, I wore peach and navy eye shadows and a neutral, peach-toned lip gloss.

I could have done without the black on the bottom half of this outfit (I didn't have a navy skirt, tights or shoes, but I made do.)
