Coral Reef

A few months back, I realized that I could match either (this) cobalt tank or a green tank perfectly with this beaded necklace that was given to me. Since I was able to match the green tank with another outfit, I decided on the blue, which ended up looking better with this 3/4 sleeve coral sweater. With it, I wore beige straight dress pants and nude and gold-spiked stilettos. I added on a coral and gold beaded necklace (because, who can make choices- let's just wear all of the necklaces that match!) and gold and coral stick earrings and a matching leave ring. Also, coral and gold bangles and a wooden bracelet, to go with the wooden beads on the necklace. For makeup, coral and blue mermaid shadows with blue eyeliner and coral lip crayon.

So many colors, so many accessories and makeup!

I'm not sure I could have worn any more jewelry and eyeshadow colors when I wore this outfit a few weeks ago. Not to mention, these are my favorite colors (purples and teal greens.) The muse stemmed from this colorful short-sleeved cardigan which was a birthday gifts about 13 years ago. It's even a size small, which I am not, but I'm still hanging onto it!

With it, I wore a purple pencil skirt (silver zipper accent on back) and a green tank and mint-green shoes (for failure to find any others that would match- I couldn't wear black since everything else was colorful).

For jewelry:

Three-toned green beaded necklace: Charming Charlie's
Multi-strand gold and silver necklace with gem: Charming Charlie's, clearance, $4.99
Multi-color butterfly necklace: Betsy Johnson, warehouse sale, $5(!!!)
Green Belt, silver spike detail: Charming Charlie's, clearance, $3.99
Silver spike earrings: Burlington Coat Factory, 3/prs, $3.99
Multi-color beaded cuff: birthday gift years ago

Multi-shape, iridescent handbag: Boutique garage sale: $23

July 4- Days 2 and 3- Let FREEdom ring!

On day 2, I wore a navy hand-me-down cardigan with a pleated skirt and a red and white scarf as a belt. For shoes, I wore navy pointed, T-strap flats and for jewelry: red rose studs and a white beaded necklace to bring in some more white.

On day 3, I wore (another) red hand-me-down tank and a white hand-me-down cardigan with a navy pencil skirt. To go with the gold zipper on the skirt, I wore gold sandals and a gold belt. For jewelry, I wore red rose studs and gold stick earrings. I wore my hair up in knots with a red ribbon tied in.

For makeup both days: navy shadow and liner and red lipstick.

July 4 colors- day one- FREEdom

Every article of clothing in this outfit was handed down to me! But, that was done by accident- it is really about wearing red, white and blue all week (I should have started sooner since I have jewelry and red tops I won't even be able to squeeze in.)

Monday, I wore this blue and white printed scuba pencil skirt (you may recognize this since I have the same one in black) with a matching cobalt blue sleeveless top and red cardigan. Since I didn't have shoes that would match red or this color blue, I decided on gold and wore a gold belt to pull the outfit together. For jewelry, I wore gold stick earrings and red rose studs. For makeup: red lipstick and navy shadow and liner.

Cardigan and skirt: given to me (about two years apart) from fairy Godmother
Tank: given to me from aunt (along with three other colors)
Belt: K-Mart, going out business clearance, $3
Sandals: Target, a few years ago
Earrings: gold stick: Charming Charlie's, clearance, $3.99; red rose: eBay
Makeup: Avon, Ulta, liner- given to me from mother

PRIDE!

Saturday was Pride in Rhode Island. I didn't get to go this year, but still showed some colors (not to mention I spent half the day with my favorite GLBTQ person!)

I picked up this rainbow striped twist shirt at a local boutique last weekend, with it in my mind I would wear it especially for the occasion. But, we were going to a nice dinner, so I couldn't wear this top with jeans, which is really the only thing I can think to pair it with. Here, I wore it with a pink pencil skirt and heels with a matching crossbody bag. For jewelry, I wore pink and green rose studs; for makeup: yellow, pink, and navy shadows with navy eyeliner. I couldn't decide on red or pink lipstick, so I ended up with both on.
