D cubed- Dress-down day

On this day, we had a workshop, so it was a dress down day at work. Here you see me with a charcoal grey cardigan (embroidered with my office logo) and a mint, lace, racer back tank. With this, I wore charcoal ankle boots and rolled skinny jeans. For jewelry: a floral statement necklace, silver stick earrings with mint accents and a matching ring and necklace, and mint flower studs. For makeup: mint and chracoal shadows and a bright lipstick. Since my office cardigan is grey, the idea was to lighten up the outfit with some color.

Winter & Spring= cold and rain?

With this lilac ruffle and lace blouse and floral shawl, I combined winter and spring clothing. It's been spring for a while, but still, even now- weeks later, doesn't feel like it. I wore high, sateen-waisted pants and black ankle boots. For jewelry, I decided on black and gold tassle earrings (which made the outfit even dressier), black rose studs and a black rose bracelet, to go with the lace pattern on my top. Because the tassle earrings have gold tones, I wore a gold locket that has a floral design on the front and threw on some gold bangles. For makeup: lilac and black shadows and fuscia lipstick.

Was it Hump Day?.. because I was wearing camel

I'm finally getting caught up on some outfits. This one is likely from a month ago, which is funny because I'm weating a very similar outfit today (essetnially the same thing except a blazer). I wore a camel asymmetrical zip-up peplum cardigan with a black skinny skirt and camel ankle boots. For jewelry, I wore a gold V necklace with gold stick earrings to go with the gold zipper. For makeup: camel and black shadows and gold lip gloss.

Flat tire

On another unseasonably cold day a few week back, I wore this burgundy high-low blouse with grey, black and burgundy plaid pants. Since these pants look too short with heels, I wore black flats(!!!) To go with the grey and black plaid, I usually wear gunmetal-toned jewelry (earrings and ring). This ring is also ruffly like my blouse. I wore a multi-stranded, multi-toned black and silver necklace with assorted silver bangles. For makeup: burgundy shadow and lip gloss. For hair, I've been wearing it in a high-pont with some loose pull-outs.

Blouse: NY&Co., 50% off sale, $25-30
Pants: NY&Co., sale, $20
Necklace: warehouse sale, $5

Which era is this blouse?

Here we have a ruffly, puffy shouldered blouse that screams Victorian era, if I'm not not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong on eras)? Think: house dress with a high bun and laced booties.

However, here, I wore the top with high, sateen-waisted ankle pants and black ankle boots. Because I just like these earrings and they seem to make everything dressier, I wore black tassles. For makeup: peach and black shadows and a bright lipstick to liven up the outfit with some color! Otherwise, I would be totally washed out.

Blouse: Amazon, birthday gift a couple years ago
Pants: NY&Co., 50% sale, $35
Boots: NY&Co., $30

All About Accessorizing

On this day (a few weeks ago), I wanted to wear this puffy-shouldered blouse before it got warm out (ha- as if!!) With it, I wore this pink and cream scarf, lined with antique lace. Then, I added lace-metal earrings and an antique-lace head wrap. (While I was worried there would be TOO much lace, I was told a couple of times that day that the earrings looked like they were a set with the head wrap.) I wrapped my hair underneath the wrap to go with the rest of this seemingly renaissance theme (puffy shoulders and antique lace...); this also saved me from a bad hair day.  For other jewelry, I wore a cream rose ring and a pink flower ring along with cream and pink bangles. For shoes, antique-rose ruffle booties. I always have fun matching antique-rose and cream since I have collected so much of it the past few years. For makeup: antique-rose and cream shadows with a nude-pink lipstick.

Shoes: The Shoe Dept, $35
Head wrap: CVS, $5
Earrings: Warehouse sale, $2

Spring is here

I think this outfit was the first day of spring. If not, it looks like it!
I wore this periwinkle cardigan with a teal tee to match with the beaded necklace. For other jewelry, I wore teal circle earrings, blue (faux) pearl studs, and a periwinkle beaded ring with a couple matching benefit bracelets and a silver, wavy bracelet (that goes with the wavy accents on the necklace).  For makeup: teal and periwinkle shadows with a nude lipstick- a bright lipstick would (still) make me look like a clown.

Cardigan: hand-me-down from Godmother
Tee: Kohl's, $5
Necklace: Van Heusen Factory Outlet, $12
Earrings: blue: worn at wedding; teal: gift, set of 3prs.
Silver bracelet: give to me
Makeup: NYC, Tarte, Ulta

Ketchup and Mustard

This was an outfit in which I was still trying to 'use up' items that needed to be worn again before the warmer weather. I wore this high-low mustard (or marigold) blouse tunic with navy tights and pencil skirt along with this matching plaid scarf. For shoes, I wore matching mustard heels. For jewelry, gold stick earrings to go with the gold zipper on my skirt. Makeup: mustard and navy shadows with navy liner.

Blouse: NY&Co., 50% off, $30
Scarf: Rue 21, clearance, $5
Skirt: Nordstrom Rack, $15-$19

Earth Day

On Earth Day, I wore green and blue with brown. But, the green and blue was chosen long before since I realized they would match perfectly with with these beaded hoop earrings. I added brown for the remainder of the outfit- skirt, tights and shoes, since I didn't have shoes to match the green and blue. I could have worn black, but brown was much more appropriate.
Blouse: Amazon, birthday gift
Blue tank: hand-me-down from Aunt
Earrings: Christmas gift one year
Skirt: Amazon, $15?
Shoes: have had for years

Easter

I purchased this blush blouse a few weeks ago and decided to reserve it for Easter. The bell sleeves are lace with purple flowers embroidered. When I saw it, my eyes lit up. I wore it with a pink pencil skirt and blush flats, though I did toy with wearing antique rose booties. For jewelry, I wore peach rose studs, purple dangly earrings and a purple cocktail ring. Though, one was gold-toned and one was silver, which is one of my big faux pas. For makeup, pink and purple eyeshadows and purple eyeliner and, I threw a purple ribbon into my pony.

Blouse: Charmed and Dangerous, $26
Skirt: Nordstrom Rack, $19.99
Flats: ??, but wish I bought more of these!
Makeup: Ulta
Earrings: bridesmaid gift; peach roses: have had
Ring: hand-me-down from Godmother
