Shamrock Shake

I had so much mint green on the other day, all I could think of was a McDonald's shamrock shake, which I would love since mint chocolate chip is my favorite ice cream, but I must stay strong and not cave in. Monday, I wore this mint green satin top with a mint green/gold statement necklace and mint green/gold earrings. (The statement necklace is made its debut!) To go with the gold, I also wore bangles and a wishbone and clover necklace, which totally suits the St. Patty's Day Holiday. For makeup, I wore light green shadow covered by iridescent green shadow, and black shadow with a nude lipstick (a favorite of mine lately).

Mint coin

Last Friday, it was quiet at work with a skeleton crew, so I took advantage of it with ponte pants (again, something I would never normally wear to work). I wore them with a mint green lace racerback, for my St. Patty's Day colors, of course. I added a black cardigan and wore black boots. Later, I ended up adding a loose, ruffle waterfall cardigan over the sweater and a thin black belt to match the boots. For jewelry, I wore a mint green floral statement necklace and two pairs of matching stud earrings with a silver and mint green ring. For makeup, light green and black shadows.

Ponte pants: Kohl's, sale/clearance, Vera Wang, $16?

Green Means Go!

Casual green for the weekend! We went to breakfast and ran errands yesterday and, truthfully, I'm glad we got out of the house so I could wear this cute green t-shirt dress. (I probably wouldn't have gotten dressed in anything besides yoga pants and slippers, otherwise.) This dress comes out every St. Patty's Day, but only on a weekend since it's too casual for work. It's very cute and very comfie, and fits pretty well. Since I love my Docs, I wore them to complete my casual, but cute outfit. And, one cannot wear a green dress without wearing her matching green rose earrings! I' sure these will make another appearance this week!

Dress: Frugal Fannie's, $16
Docs: eBay, worn once, $66!!
Earrings: eBay, 6/prs, $3ish

Olive for St. Patty's Day?

Since work was quiet this week and not too many people were around, I chanced it with a tunic and leggings- something I would never normally do at work. I wore this chandelier (enter Sia reference here) earrings, which have olive bead strands, and a celery leather cuff and a bangle bracelet. The wishbone on the cuff, the bangle and the earrings are all a brassy metal, to match the buttons on my dress sleeves. For makeup, I wore olive green shadow and black liner.

Earrings: a Christmas gift years ago
Bracelet: Lenny and Eva, clearance, cuff: $10, charm, $1.99!!!!

I'm not even Irish

As I ease into the greens, this day I wore just green accessories, which consisted of a green belt and a plaid scarf with green in it (very difficult to tell). The scarf, which was a donation to the Heather Collection, very much reminds of something from Ireland. To go with the spike on the belt, I wore ankle boots with similar spike accents and silver spikey earrings. To go with the scarf, I wore a beige duster I've been wanting to wear lately with a black skirt (there is also black in the scarf). For makeup: I wore green shadows and a dark green eyeliner gel.

Scarf: given to me from a work friend
Earrings: 3/prs, $3.99?, Burlington Coat Factory
Belt: clearance, $4.99, Charming Charlie's

Sort of green

To kickoff my St. Patty's Day colors, I'm easing into true green. The green in this outfit is really in the necklace...sort of. I have been wanting to wear this teal cardigan for a while and it turned out the necklace matched it pretty well. To go with the necklace, I wore gold stick earrings and gold bangles along with a wrap around bracelet that has multi tones of blue. For makeup: teal eyeliner and gold and black shadows with a nude lipstick.

Cardigan: hand-me-down from Godmother
Necklace: hand-me-down from Aunt
Bangles: part of a bangle set that was a Christmas gift one year
Wrap bracelet: Rosegal, $3-4

But first, green

I have a lot of posts to get caught up on! But, first....St. Patty's Day is around the corner, so I'm wearing greens (starting with the least greenliest) until the Holiday hits. Last week, I wore this cozy v-neck sweater dress, which has striped sleeves and a v-striped pattern all the way down to the bottom. I attempted grey tights to match the grey stripes, but I really needed black on the top and and bottom to even it all out. For jewelry, I wore  just about everything that matched, which included two, separate necklaces: one floral statement and one long daisy, and two sets of earrings: one double-sided drop earrings and, the other pair: studs. I also wore a leather wrap bracelet with gemstones that matched the color scheme of jade green, aqua and grey/silver, and a silver and mint green ring. For makeup, I wore jade green and black shadows.

Dress: Target, years ago, on clearance
Jewelry:
Necklaces: both gifts from my sister-in-law, on separate occasions

Tough mixed with girlie

We had a game to go to the other night, so, naturally, I wore black & white all day to work (and changed into jeans at night). Even though I was in a rush, I was able to snap a couple of photos of this cute outfit. I wore a white moto jacket with a flair pocketed skirt and boots. The buckles in the boots, of course, match the zippers on the jacket, so I also wore silver hoops earrings. For makeup: white and black shadows and cinnamon lipstick.

Jacket: K-Mart, clearance, $8?
Skirt: Bob's Stores, free with $10 coupon
Boots; Just Fab, last year, $20
Makeup: Ulta and NYC

Weekend vs. Work

A few weekends ago, I wore this sheer button down with a suede bow necklace and (faux) suede thigh high boots with jeans. But, for work, I wore the same button down and bow with black dress pants and ankle wedges. With both outfits, I wore black stick earrings. For my weekend outfit, I wore my hair in a french braid with a black hair wrap; for work, straight hair worn down. For makeup, light blue and black shadows and cinnamon lipstick.

Top: H&M, $11
Bow: Rue 21 or Charlotte Russe, set of 3 necklaces
Earrings: Charming Charlie's, clearance, $3-4
Thigh high boots: Just Fab, $30
Ankle boots: have had
