Orange you glad I didn't say banana? 🍊🍌

Here, I wore a calf-length, cross-over, waist-tie, burnt orange and beige color-block dress with nude and gold-adorned stilettos. But, I mixed this up with adding some teal. The muse? This fun Betsey Johnson statement necklace, which is orange, teal, white and yellow and black with a snake, a bee, a flower and some shapes. But I also have a teal and orange tiger (un-related) cuff bracelet that matches pretty darn well, too. To add to the color theme, I wore a teal tank underneath the dress. 

For earrings, I added silver and rust danglies and, for makeup: orange and teal shadows with teal liner and rust lipstick.

I was going for lunch with my aunt and then to an artisan fair and consignment shop on this day. I wore this cute blue and yellow floral spaghetti strap ruffle tank with a marigold waterfall cardigan, ankle jeans and navy flats. For jewelry: light blue rose earrings (goes with the floral print) and yellow beaded danglies with a light blue floral drop necklace (so perfect with this top!) For makeup: marigold and navy shadows with blue eyeliner.

Mime or wrestler?

Again, this was birthday weekend and we were doing fun day-trip things. Thought this was cute together- more like I was on my way to Paris- until later on, I looked like a "female wrestler" with my sunglasses and hat looking like a bandana. At any rate, I wore this blue, pink and white tie-dye, tie-front top with ankle jeans and pink slip-ons. I added a navy neck bandana and a floppy hat along with a navy cross body bag. For jewelry: a pink starfish ring (fitting for the aquarium we went to), and pink rose studs with tea-blue studs. For makeup: pink and blue shadows with blue liner and blush pink lipstick.

Go Shawty, It's Your Birthday

This was my birthday this year and we went to dinner with some friends and relatives. This colorful Betsey Johnson butterfly necklace was my muse- and has been before- for throwing two random colors together. This time: fuchsia and teal. I wore this teal, antique-lace lined, asymmetrical, high-low, short-sleeve tunic with a fuchsia tank underneath and fuchsia blazer on top and black ponte pants and high heel ankle boots. I added fuchsia, shiny dangle earrings, a teal cocktail ring and, for makeup: teal shadow and fuchsia lipstick.

I 💜 Goats

I'm not sure what was really happening with this outfit. It's not common for me to a. wear a puffer vest; or b. wear high top sneakers. I was bringing my niece to a goat farm this day and it was cool and rainy out. But, honestly, I had this outfit picked for a while. The purple and pink heart with a goat in the middle matched so well with the fuchsia vest and black and fuchsia Filas. They're super nostalgic for me- I had the same style sneakers back in 1994 when I was a teenager- only white with purple. These sneakers were a steal on Black Friday so I scored some. 

But, I digress. Again, the purple and pink are fun to match with so I added a fuchsia crossbody bag, and purple rose stud earrings. I added baby blue rose studs to bring out the light blue in the heart as well. For makeup: purple shadows and liner and fuchsia lipstick. Lastly, purple shades just in case it was sunny ...

Willie's 90th❤️💙🎸

Is was day one of Willie Nelson's birthday this past weekend- he has two birthdays- and I like celebrate him by wearing my Willie shirt and hemp Willie Stance™ socks with a red bandana, of course! I added high-waist skinny jeans and Doc Martens along with a red cardigan and a blue cardigan. For earrings: blue tassle earrings; Makeup: navy shadow and liner with red lipstick.

The Shirt Talks

Not much to say about this day except that it was a day in the office. I wore this black and color-graph-patterned puff-sleeved, pocketed, long, open tie-front tunic with burgundy ponte pants and burgundy chunky heel ankle boots. Since the tunic does all the talking itself, the only accessory I added was marigold tassel earrings (and a matching handbag- not shown here). For makeup: marigold and burgundy shadows and black liner with burgundy lip gloss.

Antique teacup

This was in early April when we had some unusually warm weather, so I wore some spring colors: a belted blush blouse with lacy flutter-short-sleeves, embroidered with purple flowers; and a purple pencil skirt and antique rose ruffle booties. 

For accessories: a purple flower necklace and earring set, pink rose studs and a purple gemstone ring. It's pretty common for me to wear my hair up in a messy bun these days (I used to have time to do my hair!), but threw in a pink and purple floral hair clip and, for a quick hack, tied a purple ribbon into my hair ties so the ribbon got intertwined with the bun.
