Lazy

Last week, I wanted to wear these black and white plaid ponte pants. I really didn't know with what, but knew I hadn't worn this blush puff-shoulder blouse all season. So, I wore the pants and top with matching ruffle ankle boots, black and white chandelieeeeerrrr (Sia) and blush faux pearl earrings,  and a black and white color block handbag. I'll be honest- I partially picked the black and white because I didn't feel like changing purses the night before. For makeup, blush lipstick and black shadow.

Top: Express, $23ish
Pants: hand-me-down from Godmother
Shoes: The Shoe Dept., $30
Earrings: Vera Wang, Kohl's, years ago,       clearance (I have gotten so much wear out of these); faux pearls: Holiday gift

How cute is this dress?

Probably too dressy for work these days since I don't see anyone, but I've been dying to wear this cute mock-neck black and white graph-pattern, puffy-sleeved, ruffly dress I ordered a few months ago. It was finally nice enough, so couldn't wait any longer. Since it's the school colors, I will probably pull this out for events. With it, I wore black tights and black ankle boots. (I can't wait to wear this with black and white strap sandals!) For accessories, I wore a black and white beaded headband, silver wavy hoops (think ruffles), and a black and white color-block handbag. For makeup: a bright lipstick and black shadow.

Dress: Nordstrom Rack, $20
Headband: birthday gift, Amazon,
Hoops: given to me from Aunt
Shoes: NY&Co, $30
Handbag: gift from parents

Colorful graph paper

The other day, I wore this black and multi-color graphed, puffy-sleeved, wrap-around split tunic. With the different colors, I can do a lot with this, but since I wore marigold the day prior, I opted to bring out the teal lines. I wore black ponte pants and black ankle boots with teal dangly statement earrings and a teal rose statement ring with teal eyeshadow. I wore burgundy lipstick to go with the burgundy lines in the tunic.

Tunic and ankle boots: NY&Co.: sale, $27; $30
Pants: Amazon, $14
Ring an earrings: $1/$2

Crime Scene

For those who do not know, I'm really hooked on true crime. So, my bestie sent me these socks a couple years ago (along with some 'Crime Scene' tape). I didn't plan the outfit around the socks, but rather, wore the socks with the outfit because they matched. Here I am wearing a marigold puff-shoulder, wrap-around tunic with black ponte pants, and a matching handbag, beret and ankle boots. For jewelry, I wore bead strand chandelier earrings that have strands of marigold. For makeup: marigold and black shadows and a dark plum lipstick to match the plum strands in the earrings.

Tunic and beret: NY&Co., sale, $27; $10
Pants: Amazon, $14
Boots: Rainbow Shops(?), $14
Handbag: Charmed and Dangerous, garage sale, $5 (originally $150)

Jade is for luck (St. Patty's)

I was out with my Aunts and planned for green..you know, with St. Patty's this week still.

I wore this jade green 3/4 ruffle and lace sleeve top with high waist jeans, grey knee-high boots and a grey Kangol. For jewelry, I added a long silver necklace with a blue and green daisy and a shorter necklace with light blue and green flowers and, then, jade and blue front-back earrings and silver and blue daisy studs along with a blue beaded silver knuckle ring. For a handbag, this hand-made recycled t-shirt bag- blue and green and I added a green bandana.

For makeup: jade and charcoal shadows and grey liner with fucsia lipstick.

Shamrock shake

Still wearing green for St. Patty's Day soon. I don't have a ton of green but more than enough for the days I am working in the office. Yesterday, I wore this (faux) satin mint blouse with high waist tuxedo ankle pants and black ankle boots. I decided on this mint statement necklace and mint, gold and cream dream catcher/mandala earrings. Because they have hints of cream, I added cream and gold bangles and, finally, a cream floral lacy, ruffly vest. I wasn't sure about the vest with this outfit- what do you think?

For makeup: sea green and black shadows and a bright pink lipstick.

Blouse: Charming Charlie's, $18
Vest: Charmed and Dangerous boutique, $24ish
Pants and boots: NY&Co., Sale, $24
Earrings: Holiday gift

Happy, go lucky

Still wearing St. Patrick's Day colors. I'm evidently pretty tired today, but alas, I'm still in green. Here I am with a sheer, forest green blouse, which I wore with black ponte pants and black chunky-heel ankle boots. I wore a matching gold and beaded green, black and cream necklace with gold stick earrings. For makeup: forest eye shadow and a bright lipstick. The ankle boots have good zippers to go with my necklace, and earrings and I used a black handbag with gold hardware to match. One of my personal pet peeves is mis-matched hardware.

Blouse and necklace: Amazon, birthday      gifts, a few years ago
Pants: Amazon, $14
Shoes: XOXO, Rue 21, clearance
Earrings: Charming Charlie's, clearance
Makeup: Ulta, The Body Shop

Start of St. Patty's Day Colors

It's that time to start wearing green (even though I don't consider olive green a St. Patrick's Day color). I wore this olive, long- sleeved poncho with a floral mini-skirt and black knee-high boots. It just so happens that this orange fur jacket matched as well. I kept my jewelry low-key today and only wore silver and olive dangly earrings. For makeup: olive shadow and a burnt orange lipstick.

Skirt: Charmed and Dangerous Boutique garage sale, $5ish
Poncho: hand-me-down from Godmother
Jacket: Amazon, $14
Boots: The Shoe Store, $11
Earrings: given to me from Aunt

Update: Which headband and earrings?

I loosely polled people yesterday on which grahams and earrings to wear with my Tu-Pac merman button down. Really, I'd been wanting to wear the blue and pearl headband but, as you can see below, I opted for the maroon one. I thought the pearl adornments were too much with all of my accessories.

For earrings, everyone voted on these multi-color purple and amber beaded hoops.

Modern-day casual Victorian

I'd been wanting to wear this lacy, ruffly antique rose mock neck casually for a while. I had a day off and was out and about most of the day, so put it on with jeans (yes, skinny jeans!! Darn millennials and Gen Zs!) and antique rose ruffly ankle boots. For accessories: an antique rose handbag, flower ring and paisely tassel earrings along with black rose studs. For makeup: antique rose and black shadows and a muted pink lipstick. You will also see here a matching ruffly shawl that I brought with me but didn't end up wearing over my puffer coat.

Top: Express, a few years ago, sale,$20ish
Shawl: Sears, $19
Jeans: 7even, TJ Maxx, $17
Booties: The Shoe Store, a few years ago, $30
Earrings: tassel: given to me from Aunt; rose: eBay
